Last summer, I represented West Wind Dental at the 10th annual PARKShow in Calgary. It was our first year in attendance, and what a great opportunity it was to meet people and let them know all about our comfortable and caring practice.
What is PARKShow? Every year, many people make their way to East Village to check out a fashion show, musical entertainment, and a day-long market. It’s all about highlighting Canadian culture and emerging talent. PARKShow is one of the events put on by PARK, a non-profit organization that showcases artists and designers.
The special anniversary event was set to take place on June 23rd but had to be postponed a day due to a severe lightning storm. Fortunately, organizers worked their magic to pull it all together on the 24th and the weather was spectacular. There was plenty to see and hear … and many people made their way to RiverWalk Plaza and the George C. King Bridge to take it all in.
I enjoy mingling with the community and letting them know about what we’re up to at our practice. If you haven’t attended PARKShow before, I suggest you go the next chance you get. In the fall, they host an event for entrepreneurs called PARKForum. Its focus is on educating how to succeed in the creative industry
I hope to return to PARKShow in the future to get to know more Calgarians and find further inspiration in fashion, food, and Canadian designs. Will I see you there? Are there are other shows or festivals that I should go to? Please share them with me!
